Monthly Line Rental

This is the monthly charge you will pay for your home phone line. Most home phone providers require you to switch both your calls and line rental to them.

The calculator results assume you are paying by the cheapest payment method, which is normally direct debit. However some suppliers will charge you more than the price displayed on the results if you choose a different payment method, for example credit card or cheque.

You have to have an ADSL phone line (for example, BT) in order to switch providers. If you are switching away from, or to, a Cable provider (for example, Virgin Media) or LLU provider (for example, TalkTalk) this may incur an installation charge as they use a different technology. In other cases you may need to pay a connection charge.
