Landline, TV and broadband supplier TalkTalk has been voted the best overall provider in the Homephonechoices.co.uk 2010 customer satisfaction awards.
TalkTalk (www.talktalk.co.uk) has taken the crown as best UK home phone provider in the latest Homephonechoices.co.uk customer satisfaction awards, after winning seven out of the 10 categories, including awards for clarity of pricing and ease of understanding bills.
A spokesman for TalkTalk said: “It really makes a difference when customers themselves have made it clear how happy they are with our services.”
“We’ve worked hard on making sure our home phone customers get the best possible service and value, and these results show our efforts are really paying off,” he added.
Rival triple-play provider Sky (www.sky.com) won the quality of customer service awards for both bundles and overall provider, and Primus Saver was given the title of overall best provider in the value for money category.
Michael Phillips, product director at Homephonechoices.co.uk, said: “TalkTalk has made an impressive effort with its home phone services and this has definitely paid dividends. Sky continues to set the standard to beat when it comes to customer service, and it’s good to see that smaller niche providers have really come into their own.”
Primus Saver currently offers the cheapest line rental in the UK, at £9.15 a month for its Home Phone Saver tariff. This includes free unlimited evening and weekend calls.
The survey, among 8,418 respondents, found that value for money and customer service remain the biggest headache for customers, with only 63% of households satisfied with their supplier.
Phillips added: “While the majority of respondents were generally satisfied with their service, there are still some stumbling blocks that home phone providers need to address if they are going to retain their customers in the long term.”
