Why should I get a TalkTalk package?

TalkTalk line rental costs £13.80 a month - which is £1.30 cheaper than BT. This rate is available if you pay by direct debit and sign-up for paperless billing though (to receive a paper bill it will cost an extra £1.48 a month, and to pay by any method other than direct debit will cost you an extra £4.50 a month).

Further inclusive features are:

  • Free standard voicemail
  • Nectar points earned on every TalkTalk bill (2 points per £1 spent)
  • Free TalkTalk customer service and technical support calls from your TalkTalk landline

You can also “boost” your home phone package with extras from TalkTalk, costing from just 45p a month. There are four Boosts to choose from:

  1. Anytime Calls Boost - The Anytime Calls Boost gives you unlimited UK local and national calls, as well as calls to 0845 and 0870 numbers, at anytime for only £4.49 per month
  2. International Calls Boost - With TalkTalk's International Calls Boost you can keep in touch with your far-flung family and friends and be sure it won't cost the earth. For just £2.99 a month you'll get unlimited calls to 36 international destinations, anytime. Plus, you'll also get discounts of up to 95% on call charges to all other international destinations
  3. Calling Features Boost - The Calling Features Boost gives you Call Divert, Call Waiting, Ringback, Three-Way Calling, Caller Display and the special Reminder Call features for £4.09 a month
  4. 100 Mobile Minutes Boost - For just £2.99 a month you'll get 100 minutes of free calls to UK mobiles.

These will all help enhance your home phone deal from TalkTalk and help you save money on your monthly bills.

What do I need for TalkTalk home phone?

To take advantage of TalkTalk’s competitive prices you will have to switch your home line rental to TalkTalk. You will get one bill for both your telephone line and calls and TalkTalk will deal with any problems on the line.

Switching you home line rental to TalkTalk will take no longer than 14 days and there shouldn’t be a break in your service. TalkTalk will even liaise with your current supplier to cancel your existing contract.

Hi Jacqui,

Thank you for getting in touch with Homephonechoices.co.uk.

The TalkTalk International calls boost is an extra that you can add to most TalkTalk packages. It costs £3 a month and allows you unlimited calls to landlines in 36 different countries. At the moment you can get the TalkTalk essentials package which includes broadband and free evening and weekend calls for £3.25 a month for the first 6 months you would then need to add the international boost extra to this. If you would like to see the different TalkTalk packages available please go to: http://bit.ly/qGuB3z

In regards to needing to change your e-mail address this depends on your new provider and what package you are taking out. Please read our guide on whether or not you will be able to keep your old e-mail address: http://bit.ly/oC17gY

I hope that helps.

Kind Regards,

I am new to Talk Talk and so far am delighted with the service provided. Despite reading some negative comments about talk talk Personally I have been with Talk Talk for nearly a year now and have had nothing but a plain sailing internet. Competitive prices, easily accessible info online, very detailed and excellent info on billing. I would recommend all telephone uses to switch to Talk Talk and get better value for your money. - Sep 6 2011 12:27AM
