Choosing a Primus business phone package

Primus offers three different business phone tariffs, designed to help your company save money on its line rental and calls. Below are more details of the different packages:

1. Primus Business Capped - The cheapest business phone deal from Primus, the Capped tariff sets an hourly price limit on calls to UK local and national landlines and calls to UK mobiles. Line rental is just £9.49 a month and calls to international numbers are competitive. This is an ideal package for a small business that wants to effectively manage its costs.
2. Primus Business Talk - Small businesses should also consider the Talk tariff, which is £9.60 a month for line rental and offers savings of up to 55% on UK landline calls to 01, 02 and 03 numbers compared to BT. It also has competitive rates for international calls and calls to mobiles.
3. Primus Business Anytime - The Anytime price plan gives you unlimited calls to UK local and national landlines, as well as line rental, for £22.99. It also offers low international rates and competitive rates for calls to UK mobiles, making it an ideal package for a small or slightly larger company that makes a lot of calls.

Why should my business switch to Primus?

Primus promises to undercut BT’s business phone rates. The Primus Price Promise Guarantee says that if your bill from Primus for any given month isn’t cheaper than with BT, then you’ll switch back to BT without paying a penny. It also promises that if BT or any other supplier offers you a lower tariff then you should call Primus immediately on 0800 036 0122 to review your deal.

As well as the cheap line rental and calls, one of the main advantages of Primus’ business phone service is its 24 hour UK-based account management.

Your business’ phone lines will be installed, repaired and maintained by BT engineers, however Primus will deal with all the other aspects of your service. So if you experience a fault on your phone line, you should report it to Primus, not BT.

What do I need to get a Primus business phone deal?

Switching your company’s phone and/or broadband services to Primus is really easy, and can be done in just one phone call to 0800 036 0122. The switch to Primus Business will be quick and efficient, meaning there’ll be no interruption to your service. You’ll be able to keep your existing phone number(s) and whatever extra calling features you have.

You should check whether you are in contract with your current supplier though before switching - if you are still within a minimum contract period then you may need to pay a cancellation fee to that supplier to transfer to Primus. If you have been in contract but are outside of the contracted period then Primus can move your lines without your being charged by your existing business phone supplier.

The switch to Primus will be carried out at your local telephone exchange, so an engineer won’t need to visit your office, and Primus will inform your existing supplier that it will be billing you for your business’ line rental and calls.

You will receive a fully itemised bill each month, which you must pay by monthly direct debit or mandated credit card payment. You can however pay by cheque/giro or one-off credit card, but will be charged an extra £1.50 per month.
