Choosing a landline provider

With so many UK home phone providers, it’s understandable that choosing a landline product can be a little confusing. As well as the choice of supplier, there is a wide variety of calling plans to choose from, such as:

• Unlimited weekend calls
• Unlimited weekend and evening calls
• Unlimited anytime calls

It's worth noting that by only comparing landline prices, you could be forgetting a large portion of your phone bill, especially if you make a lot of international calls or regularly phone someone's mobile.

To work out which home phone tariff really is the cheapest for you, consider your call patterns - including which countries you make international calls to and what mobile networks you call. You can then compare the call rates charged by each home phone supplier to see if there is a better deal for you.
