Home phone company launches the “UK’s best value landline calls to international destinations”
TalkTalk has unveiled a new package which offers “the UK’s best value landline calls to international destinations”.
The 500 Global Minutes Boost package gives TalkTalk customers 500 minutes of calls from their landline to landlines and mobiles in 100 international destinations for £5 on top of what they pay for their broadband and home phone.
At 1p per minute, the package, which is now available, offers better value landline calls to 100 international destinations than BT, Plusnet, Sky and Virgin, according to TalkTalk.
Tristia Clarke, commercial director at TalkTalk said: “At TalkTalk we think everyone should be able to keep in touch with their friends and family around the world without it costing the Earth.
“The 500 Global Minutes Boost will mean our customers will be able to enjoy the UK’s best value landline calls to international destinations.”
The package removes the need for calling cards or a specific mobile sim card for international calls, and the minutes can be used at anytime and managed through TalkTalk’s “My Account” online account management facility.
Internet phone provider Vonage yesterday announced that it is adding inclusive calls to up to 17 international destinations to three of its packages, as well as cutting prices for a limited period.
Last week, Plusnet resurrected its Talk International 300 package, allowing its broadband and home phone customers to get 300 minutes of calls to its top 20 international destinations for an extra £5 a month.
