BT cuts the cost of phone line installation

Home phone and broadband giant BT is offering cheap line installation to all new customers signing up to a BT call plan.

BT (www.bt.com) has slashed its landline installation fee for new phone lines to just £29.99, saving households nearly £100 on the cost of getting a line installed or reconnected.

The offer is open to new customers who sign-up to a 12 or 18-month call plan with BT. Choose from one of the call plans below:

And if you’re looking for a bundled package, you can get a new line installed for free when signing up to either a broadband and calls deal or a BT triple-play bundle, which includes BT Vision, BT Broadband and calls.

Simon Piper, business development manager at Homephonechoices.co.uk, said: “This offer from BT is great news, and will hopefully kick-start some of the other home phone providers into offering line installation discounts.”

He continued: “It will be interesting to see which companies will match, or better, the offer.”
