Looking to save money on your phone bills by switching to a cheap calls package? Sign-up for the BT’s Unlimited Anytime call plan and get three months free.
BT (www.bt.com), the UK’s biggest home phone supplier is offering three months free to all new customers signing up to its Unlimited Anytime Calling Plan.
The Unlimited Anytime price plan costs £4.99 a month with BT line rental, however signing up for the tariff online will save customers £14.97 over three months.
Simon Piper, business development manager at Homephonechoices.co.uk, said: “This is a great deal if you’re looking to cut down your phone bills following the recent price hikes - though you’ll have to be quick as the offer is only available until 30 June.”
The package will cost £4.99 a month after the first three months, plus the cost of line rental - which is £11.54 a month if you sign-up for paperless billing and pay by direct debit.
Piper advises customers on a Weekend or Evening & Weekend calling plan who make a lot of calls during the day to consider whether switching to the anytime deal would save them money, “particularly as BT has increased its prices.”
BT hiked its daytime call rates today, from 5.4p per minute to 5.9p per minute. BT’s call connection fee (a one-off cost that you pay per call, regardless of its duration) has also increased from 9.3p to 9.9p, meaning a 10 minute call during the day to a national or local landline will now cost 68.9p.
At the same time, the home phone giant also changed the time its free evening calls start, from 6pm to 7pm. The evening rate will now apply until 7am, rather than the 6am cut-off before.
“If you’re worried about the price hikes or the evening calls time change, compare prices online and think about switching to the BT Anytime Calling Plan, for unlimited calls to UK local and national landlines at any time,” added Piper.
