If you want cheap line rental, BT’s new Line Rental Saver deal could save you over £30 a year, but you’ll have to pay in advance.
BT (www.bt.com), Britain’s biggest home phone supplier, is helping customers save money on their monthly landline bills by letting them pay for 12 months of line rental upfront at a reduced rate, with the new Line Rental Saver deal.
Customers that agree to pay £113.88 in advance for their line rental, will benefit from a saving of over £30 a year, cutting the cost of BT line rental from £11.54 to just £9.49 a month.
To be eligible for the deal, subscribers must sign-up for paperless online billing and pay by monthly direct debit for a call plan or any calls they make outside of their package.
Simon Piper, business development manager at Homephonechoices.co.uk, said: “If you’re willing to pay for your line rental in advance, the new deal will help you cut the cost of your landline.
“And if you’re looking for an anytime call plan, signing up for BT’s offering before 30 September will get you three months free - making it the cheapest UK anytime call plan when coupled with the Line Rental Saver offer.”
Customers signing up for the Line Rental Saver deal must make at least two chargeable calls a month, or will be billed £1.50, and subscribers should also be aware that when paying for their line rental upfront, it is non-refundable if you decide to switch home phone provider.
