Don't have a BT phone line? Need an extra phone line? BT will waive the connection charge when you get a broadband and calls package or a triple-play package (www.bt.com/packages). BT will reduce the connection charge to £0 with a triple-play package which includes calls, broadband and BT Vision or a calls and broadband package. For a calls only deal, a one-off connection charge may apply . This usually is the case when there's no suitable BT line available in your property, no dialling tone on the line, or if you have been disconnected in the past for non-payment. However, it's likely you won't need to pay the charge if your home has had a telephone service from BT in the recent past, the wiring and socket is undamaged and you can hear a dialling tone on the line. If a completely new phone line needs to be installed, BT will usually take up to 16 working days, subject to an engineer's visit and availability. If you already have a working line and just need to be connected, it should only take around 4 working days. Book an appointment with a BT engineer today to find out if your property qualifies for an exemption. BT will let you know before you complete your order, so you can always change your mind at no extra cost. |
