Dear Simon, I am thinking about switching my home phone supplier. Customer service is very important to me and I want a supplier that has a UK-based call centre. Where are the different suppliers’ customers services call centres based?

Look forward to hearing from you

Our expert says...

Hi Denis, customer service is definitely a key issue when deciding who to switch your home phone to. A recent BroadbandChoices.co.uk survey found that 35% of customers were unhappy with their broadband supplier’s customer services.

To help you decide which home phone company to switch to, the table below shows where all of the major suppliers have their call centres…

Home phone provider Provider details Call centre location
BT www.bt.com UK and India
Direct Save Telecom www.directsavetelecom.co.uk Watford, UK
Hive Telecom Hive Telecom Review Basingstoke, UK
first:telecom first:telecom Review Warwick, UK
Madasafish www.madasafish.com South Africa
Orange www.orange.co.uk Belfast, UK
Plusnet www.plus.net Sheffield, UK

Hope this information helps you decide which supplier to switch your home phone too Denis!
